The caves are home to thousands of luminous glowworms living among the great limestone stalactites and stalactites formed over hundreds of thousands of years.
Walk through the ancient forest bushwalk, Te Ara Ngahere, and you will come across huge limestone outcrops that overlook the Waiomio Valley.
